Thyme has been used for thousands of years by humans for both healing and gastronomy.
Thyme is antibacterial, it has antiviral effects. One of the most wonderful herb for the treatment of respiratory diseases, furthermore stimulates digestion and it has carminative effect.
The two essential oils in thyme are thymol and carvacrol, these are responsible for the healing effect. They gives the pleasant flavour and the powerful antiseptic effect, they can stop the growth of pathogenic bacteria in human's body.
Usage of Thyme Syrup
For prevention, if the aim is strengthening the immune system: 1 teaspoon daily is the recommended dose.
In case of illnesses: 3x1 teaspoon is worth consuming from it.
Thyme Syrup is not only useful for our body, it is delicious, therefore it can be consumed in itself, in water or tea, for adults in natural taste brandy or schnaps (dilution ratio is 1:1 recommended)
In Hungary thyme products currently available on the market mostly contains alcoholic extract, which is not recommended for children. Our Thyme Syrup is suitable for children from the age of 2.

In order to preserve the healing effect of thyme, the dried herb has been boiled in sugar syrup, therefore it is not recommended in case of diabetes and insulin resistance.
